A Probing into the Relationship between Hypothesis of Humanity and Construction of Education

Concerning the discipline itself, problems of men is one of the core problems in education theory. Hypothesis of humanity is becoming gradually to be the gene concept that education today must face. For it infiltrate and generate the species identity of education theory. As reference to China, there have brought up many issues such as discipline independence, theory originality, study standpoint and so on in education after one-century-research. And such issues concentrate on the basic concept in the problems-of-men research stage by stage, that is hypothesis of humanity. Education as the career of people, through people, for people, is unique mutual progress between men and men. No matter how is the degree of consciousness, hypothesis of humanity has effect on education practice. So education theory has to as well as should give an answer to this humanity issue on the base of history and reality in sense of discipline.On the base of many research concerning hypothesis of humanity, this thesis find out the lack of study education theory internally and systematically. So I takes Herbart education and Dewey education as examples, one is the represent of the beginning of education as a discipline, the other is an important sign of the transformation in the development of education theory. The study aims at two target: the basic meaning of hypothesis of humanity in education theories, and the relationship between the special hypothesis of humanity with education. The first aim is searched from the similarity of the two education theories, assisted by my understanding about education. The second aim is investigated from their inside theories, assisted by comparison the difference between them.The thesis brings up opinions through comb and comparison the relative issues in the two kinds of education. Firstly, on the level of discipline, there is an unique hypothesis of humanity in education, that is Homo Educata according to disciplinary convention(such as Homo Economicus, Homo Natura, and Homo Sociologicus). Its' basic significance is an organization composed by three layers: variability, or possibility; The variability directing to Good; and the variability in mutual relations with direction to Good. Secondly, on the level of school, different education theory has different hypothesis of humanity inside as like special organization with special gene inside. The similarity in disciplinary level and the difference in shool level represent the uniqueness and the development of education. Thirdly, Homo Educata embodies the disciplinary uniqueness of education, such as productivity, practicality, and mutuality. That brings about many inspirations for us to think. Education was born in education. And education is the root of education.Of course, there has room in the hypothesis of humanity in the two education, such as the lack of emphasizing on the mutual organic interaction between teacher and students. That provides possibility for education to develop on and on. In some sense, hypothesis of humanity in education is not only an issue needed to study, but an origin issue needed to study sustain.
