Modeling and Simulation of Computer Generated Forces Based on Multi-Agent

As important ways and means for understanding and studying wars, warfare simulation has becoming more and more significant for analysis, training and T&E (Test and Evaluation). Warfare simulation is an important technology way to improve battle effectiveness and national defense level. Computer Generated Force (CGF) is one of the most important research directions in modeling and simulation. So, the research of CGF has very important theory meanings and application value.CGF system is the simulation of the special human society, while multi-agent system has the natural describing capability for human society system. This dissertation focuses on the research on the CGF modeling and simulation based on multi-agent theory and methods, and proposes the CGF modeling and simulation methods based on multi-agent. Surrounding this topic, this dissertation studies the interrelated theory and methods from three aspects, viz. CGF Agent individual model, society model, and implementation.First of all, this dissertation analyses the importance and complexity of CGF modeling, and discusses the concepts and characteristics of agent and multi-agent, which provide a high view and technical reference reliance for the following research on the theory and methods. In the research of CGF Agent individual model, we focus on two topics, viz. architecture and cognitive model. First, the constituent models of the warfare simulation and the relation among them are discussed, and the capability modules and the behavior modes CGF Agent needs are analyzed. Then the mixed architecture of CGF Agent is proposed. This architecture contains common capability modules which can support the reactive and deliberative behavior modes. The reactive module deals with the rapidly reactive and routine behaviors, while the advanced cognitive behaviors are processed in deliberative module. The cognitive model of CGF Agent is the sticking point of personative intelligent behavior. This dissertation researches the intentional instance and possible-worlds semantic. Agent cognitive model based on BDI theory is studied, and semantics of the mental attitudes, such as belief, goal and intention, are described. Then a conceptual structure of the logical model of CGF Agent is put forward. In order to support the combination of behavior models and plan expression effectively, we extend the branching-time logical cognitive model based on interval-time logic, and implement the description of combined behaviors in branching-time logic and time constraining on parallel behaviors in planning. In the research of CGF Agent society model, this dissertation studies the organization model, behavior coordination and communication. We study CGF modeling and simulation from the viewpoint of organization, and establish the CGF Agent organization model, which
