The technique of distributed remote fault diagnosis expert is part and parcel of the new crossed discipline.Along with equipment's development towards high-speed, high-power, high-stabilization, large-scale and network trend, it's difficult for the traditional method to diagnose the complex equipment fault. What's more, the technique development of computer, network- communication, checking, multimedia and database make the base of distributed remote fault diagnosis expert system (DRFDES in short). To enterprise, on the one hand, DRFDES can harmonize the enterprise equipment, set up the network of equipment's state inspecting and the fault diagnosis system, keep equipment work naturally, improve efficiency and economize the maintenance fee, on the other hand, DRFDES can help set up the global service system of selling, can offer timely, effective and almighty service to consumers.Firstly, discuss the theoretic base of DRFDES by distributed system theory, fault diagnosis theory and expert system theory, moreover the three aspects is interrelated and impartibility. And then, we construct the generalized frameworks for DRFDES. Base on this, we discuss several aspects hereinafter.1. From the structure of DRFDES, discuss twi-layer C/S, tri-layer B/S based on Internet as well as the mixed model of C/S and B/S. Indicate the merit of C/S is mature and easy to realize, the demerit is client-end concludes application logic and user interface, and difficult to combine with Internet, to realize the application of opening and cross-platform; While B/S itself is a kind of opening and cross-platform system, through Browser we can visit many application server, the developing environment is separate from the application environment which makes maintenance convenient and fee lower, but its safety is low; compare with B/S DRFDES, mixed model DRFDES have security and flexibility.2. From the technique of database realizing, discuss the structure of fuzzy diagnosis expert system, knowledge base, inference engine and the database realizing. What's more, discuss the system structure of distributed fuzzy diagnosis expert system, the decomposition strategy of diagnosis assignmentinand the distributed fuzzy diagnosis expert harmonizing and control of multi-level blackboard model, realize the distributed fuzzy expert diagnosis by database.3. From the distributed diagnosis technique, discuss the feature, composing, communication and harmonizing of fault diagnosis intelligent agent technique; simultaneity, discuss the form of multi-agent system, mobile agent system and diagnosis virtual organization structure. And then, the intelligent agent and multi-agent system can realize the decomposition and assignment of diagnosis, so it can improve the diagnosis level of DRFDES, solve the conflict between the generality and adaptation of software. Discuss the feature, composing and realizing of CORBA standards and discuss the general structure of DRFDES based on CORBA and its diagnosis interaction process. Different fault object model can be unified expressed by UML and complete the mapping from different fault diagnosis object to OMG IDL. The encapsulating of fault module and the joining to distributed fault platform can be used by CORBA.
