Clinical study:[Background]:Through researching for 30 years,based on clinical practice, referred to other experts\' experience,the research group of the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou TCM college,consider chronic heart failure as a syndrome of asthenia root and sthenia branch.The pathogenesis is deficiency of Qi,stasis of Xue,retention of Shui,and the clinical symptoms should be divided into two conditions:deficiency of Yang,deficiency of Yin. The group provides two medicine,"Yang Xinkang" and "Bao Xinkang",which had been permitted by Food and Drug Association of Guangdong province.Previous study of clinical and experiment on Bao Xinkang had been finished,which result show its efficacy on CHF.[Purpose]:to observe symptoms,heart function,BNP,Chinese Medicine clinical symptoms marks and Minnesota in heart failure subjects(LiHFe) of patients with CHF treated by Bao Xinkang.[Methods]:45 cases of CHF were randomized to two groups,15 cases in Control Group,treated with standard modern medical therapy,30 cases in Oserve Group, treated with Bao Xinkang besides the same modern medical therapy as Control Group,for 4 weeks.[Results]:The heart rate of Observe Group decreases,comparison with ante-treatment and post-treatment(P＜0.05),but comparison with Control Group shows no significant difference.BNP of two groups shows no significant difference between groups or ante-treatment and post-treatment.Chinese Medicine clinical symptoms marks and LiHFe of two groups show significant difference.Chinese Medicine clinical symptoms marks of Observe group, comparison between ante-treatment and post-treatment,P=0,which of Control Group,P=0.009,comparison between two groups,P=0.077.Total efficacy of heart function of Observe Group is 96.7%,which of Control Group is 78.6%, comparison between groups,p=0.052.[Conclusions]:Bao Xinkang decreases heart rate,improve heart function, Chinese Medicine clinical symptoms marks and LiHFe,but it shows no significant difference between groups.Chinese Medicine clinical symptoms marks, comparison with groups,P=0.077,Efficacy of heart function,P=0.052,which indicates that if more cases to observe it might be significant difference.Experiment study[Purpose]:to observe efficacy of Bao Xinkang on rats model of CHF and deficiency of Yang,and to find its potential mechanism.[Methods]:50 SPF SD male rats with a weight of 270±20g were randomized to 5 groups.afterload heart failure rat model was induced by abdomen aorta banding.Deficiency of Yang rat model was induced by medicine.Hemodynamic measurements were obtained to assess the efficacy of ZhuYin capsule after 30 days of post-operation stage.[Resuts]:Bao Xinkang decreases heart rate,blood pressure and LVEDP, increase +dp/dtmax of model rats.[Conclusions]:Bao Xinkang efficiently treats the CHF model rats.
