Study on Non-Invasive Rejection Surveillance after Cardiac Transplantation

Cardiac transplantation is now a widely accepted treatment for end-stage myocardial failure. Allograft rejections and severe infections are still major causes of graft and patient loss after cardiac transplantation. Endocardium myocardium biopsy after cardiac ransplantation is the only index to determine if there is rejection reaction. Owing to the danger of biopsy puncture and the high cost, biopsy puncture is not a good way for both doctor and patient. So the regular biopsy is seldom conducted in the majority of units of cardiac transplanta- tion in our country. In order to establish a low-risk, convenient and low-cost external rejection reaction monitoring method, esearchers at home and abroad have been making great efforts, however so far a reliable external method to take the place of biopsy puncture has not been established. With a great number of comparisons of clinic examination and experiment research and biopsy, we have selected several instructive non-invasive monitoring indexes after cardiac transplantation. With these indexes, we determined that two patients respectively with arrhythmia and chest distress had rejection reaction, four patients had no rejection reaction and two patients needed intensive monitoring. Objective: To study on non-invasive rejection surveillance after cardiac transplantation. Method: We conducted periodic and casual chemical examinations and
