Camino De Santiago
This thesis is the result of the cultural and artistic expedition that I conducted to understand the historical changes of Camino de Santiago, which has traditionally called the Way of Saint James, a pilgrimage road in Spain in Europe. Santiago de Compostela, the City of Saint James, is the third greatest centre after Jerusalem and Rome in the world of Christianity. I have traveled along this special road twice more or less following the example of the European predecessors who enjoyed the Great Tour, and thus gained the first - hand sources for my dissertation. In writing these chapters I have attempted to apply various methods developed for the study of art history, and the others taken from the different disciplines in the field of humanities. My aim is to revive the vitality of art historical writing that constitutes the charm of the subject.
