Research on the Thought of Gao-Panlong: A Connection between LiXue and XinXue
GaoPan-long was the second leader of TungLin School after GuXian-cheng.He lived in late Ming Dinasty,which was full of political turbulence.And he was the most impotent member of TungLin Party.But there were a little differences between Gao and TungLin Party about political ideas.Actually,Gao paid more attention to administrative affairs than TungLin Party,whom always required for the powers of expostulation.In academic circles,Yang-Ming\'s doctrine has gradually became the mainstream thought in the late Ming dynasty after WangJi and WangGen.But WangJi and WangGen\'s doctrine of \'Intuitive Knowledge\'(Liang Zhi) was mingled with Buddhist ideas,which resulted in a kind of impractical atmosphere in the academic community.Basing on that conditiongs,Gao put forward his own theroy,which would be able to alvage the study atmosphere.Starting with the analysis to Mind noumenon(XinTi),Gao argues that Mind(Kin) must be put into a idelolgical system composed of Body,Mind,Nature and Principle(TianLi).Then the mind of subjects could be bound to both Body and Nature noumenon(XingTi),so as to seek the reliable moral norms for people\'s practices.Gao\'s real purpose in this idalolgical systerm is founding a kind of connection between ChuXi\'s Neo-Confucianism thoughts and Yang-Ming\' s doctrine.By connecting both of them,Gao pursues to stink person\'s subjectivities in the maximum extent uder the Principle(TianLi).So we can not simply consider it to be the return of ChuXi\'s Neo-Confucianism thoughts.Instead of ChuXi\'s Principle(TianLi),Gao pays more attantion to the Nature.
