Studies on Character of Gong-du Students' Social Cognition on Aggressive Behavior

Gong-du students refer to a special group whose emotion and behavior are considered problematic. Those students have a strong incline toward aggressiveness .In China, the studies of aggressive behavior, which begin very late, have never concerned the Gong-du students. At the present time the hot topic in this area is about the Characteristic of aggressive behavior and its modification from social cognition. Beside other studies of aggressive behavior which are undertaken from the perspectives of special education, psychology and sociology, are comparatively limited, therefore, my study which concentrates specifically on the Gong-du Students about their Characteristic of their aggressive behavior and social cognition. Certainly, it will supply the theoretical and practice support to educational practice on the effectively modification the Gong-du students' aggressive.This Study employs the qualitative and quantitative research methods, and applies implicit social cognition model, Stroop effect research model and Dodge's social cognitive information-processing models to carry out a systematic exploration of the characteristic of Gong-du students' aggressive behavior, it includes mainly the following aspect: the Studies of Gong-du student explicit and implicit characters of aggressive behavior, their emotion status, their attribution style, their clue identify, social problem solution, and evaluation of their self-effect and response of consequence of aggressive behavior. Moreover the present study gives some helpful suggestions on the education intervention, which is facilitated by the knowledge of social cognitive, to reduce and modify Gong-du students' aggressive behavior.The first part of the dissertation comes out the historical study of this area, with a very detail review of the research both in the China and around the world.especially about the theories and the study results of on the social cognitive of aggressive behavior. Then it elaborates on the social significant of the study of social cognitive of aggressive behavior and offers a brief introduction of the whole studies of the present study.The second part focuses on the study of social cognition Characteristics of Gong-du Students' aggressive behavior, it includes the following six sections.The first section is an experiment of the characteristic of the explicit and implicit cognitive of Gong-du students' aggressive behavior. The Results show that compared with normal students Gong-du students have an obvious tendency toward aggressive in both explicit and implicit.The second section is another experiment of Gong-du students' emotion status of aggressive behavior. This experiment is based on Stroop effect model and adopt the method of studying the Gong-du students' processing reaction time of aggressive vocabulary and passive moving-back vocabulary. Results show that compare with normal student Gong-du student have an obvious tendency toward aggressive and passive emotion. But indicate a slight difference between two sexes.The third section studies the attribution style of Gong-du students' using the approaches of Projective Technique and collective questionnaires, Results show that compared with normal students Gong-du students obviously have hostility-attribution when facing the ambiguous hurt situations and they tend to over-react and take aggressive response. Moreover Gong-du students are more impulsive and ruthless because they are more self-centered, with little consideration of the harm they will do to the victims due to their aggressive behavior.The fourth section studies the clue identify of Gong-du students' aggressive behavior in different social environment. Interview with both the normal students and Gong-du students, show the fact that two groups of students are similar in sensing the changing of social environment and adjusting their behavior accordingly. The difference lies in the Gong-du students tend to react impulsion and draw a haste conclusion before their action, and show little flexible in their responses.The fift
