The thesis belongs to period specific lexicography study. Chinese vocabulary history research is based on period specific lexicography studies. Textual research on the disyllabic words of Southern and Northern dynasties poems has certain value to reflecting vocabulary system and the meaning system of that time's disyllabic words, to Chinese vocabulary history studies, to arranging and studying on ancient books, to compiling dictionary and so on.The thesis chooses the recitation of poems Xianqin Han Wei Jin Southern and Northern dynasties poems Arranged by Lu Qinli, a person of our time, using the application software named "Guan Shen" makes the count and various thorough research about the study material convenient. The thesis uses mainly the methods of compiling and composing dictionary. Applying synthetically explanations of words in ancient books and grammar, the thesis aims to explain almost all disyllabic words in Southern and Northern dynasties poems. So the vocabulary system and the meaning system of that time's disyllabic words can be reflected presumably.This thesis contains three chapters and appendix as follows.In introduction, we discuss mainly seven problems: the selected topic cause and studying significance , an introduction of the object of study, the current studying situation upon the selected topic, writing process and the studying method, the manufacture of the data base, the standard of cutting disyllabic words, the vocabulary characteristics of Southern and Northern dynasties' poems language.The second chapter is the main body of the thesis, in this part, making use of the data base, we do the research thoroughly to explain the meanings of the disyllabic words. On arranging, adopts the way that order arranges according to the tone. using the now available reference books of all kinds and ancient annotations, makes as far as possible accurate explanation to these disyllabic words.The third chapter is based on the second part, discussing the problems that can not spread out in the second part in detail. It has discussed two problems mainly: first, research textually difficult disyllabic words and write textual criticism process, such as "aima", "aiying "etc. There still are some disyllabic words that can't be explained because of being short of time and the ability. They will be carried out textual criticism in future. The second problem is the textual research on the disyllabic words of Southern and Northern dynasties poems has help to the compilation of large-scale Chinese dictionary. When explaining the disyllabic words of Southern and Northern dynasties poems, we need consult all kinds of Chinese reference book. In this process, we often may discover that many words are not taken on in dictionary, there are not right separations of meanings, or the first exemplifications are much later. The thesis consults mainly the Chinese Dictionary, so it has supplemented the Chinese Dictionary from five aspects.The examination question is "textual research on the disyllabic words", meaning explain the meaning of all disyllabic words in Southern and Northern dynasties poems. However, owing to my limited time and capability, just a part of the words are finished. There are still large amount of disyllabic words waiting for research. And there are lots of faults in my explanation. So I hope sincerely that the expert point out the faults and carry valuable suggestion.
