The intellectual transition is a very comprehensive issue,which we have not studied seriously. My doctoral thesis is based on the study of knowledge economy and the "Joseph Needham riddle," to conclude that even though our country have made a rapid progress in the fields of science and techniques,there remains a big difference between our country and the developed countries. There are many causes for the situation of our inferiority,but the central one is our neglect of the issue of intellectual transition. To overcome the above problem,we need the spiritual enlightenment and the conceptual transition. In the important historical period when "knowledge take the central part," China is facing the challenge of the era of knowledge economy. To change the backward situation of China,to realize the development with great leap,the key point is to resolve the problem of the intellectual transition.The intellectual transition includes the internal transition of human intelligence and the external transition from intelligence to practice. These two sorts of transition make up a relation of dialectical unity with opposite. The intellectual transition takes the knowledge,the intellectual transition,the species of intellectual transition,and the relation between the intellectual assimilation and differentiation as the foundation. The generation of knowledge occurs in the connection between the subjectivity and the objectivity. It is presented as the following:the interaction between the subjectivity and the objectivity-concepts,the material form of concept-linguistic symbols,the logic management of the symbols-make them in order,the social confirmation of the language-rules,the existential forms of knowledge-five aspects of the intellectual transition. The intellectual transition plays important part. It influences every field of our life. To improve the backward situation of our country,our only choice is to take advantage of the intellectual transition. For this objective,my thesis will investigate the Marxist view and the western philosophical view on the function of the intellectual transition,I intend to make the issue of intellectual transition more impressive.The issue of knowledge is the foundation of the issue of intellectual transition. But to hold knowledge only and devoid of the intellectualtransition,that does not make sense. Accordingly,the intellectual transition becomes the important condition for the survival of knowledge. Only if there is intellectual transition,then knowledge could be externalized,meanwhile,the world could be intellectualized. The intellectual transition is a sort of complicated,systematic project. It is not possible for us to use a short thesis to attain the goal. We could only focus on the micro-mechanism of the intellectual transition-the forms of intellectual transition. The intellectual transition is presented in different forms. There is the intellectual transition between the not knowing and the knowing. There is the intellectual transition between the standstill and the flexible,the intellectual transition between the ontological and the epistemological. There is the intellectual transition between the subjectivity and the objectivity,the intellectual transition between the conceptual form and the material form,the intellectual transition between its individual form and its social form. Only if we can handle the intellectual transition from multiplied viewpoints,then it is possible for us to provide a complete theory,to present the general feature of the theory of intellectual transition to people.Intellectual transition is the central issue of my essay. Knowledge could be transferred to practice,and there is a necessary connection between value and human being. The intellectual transition is a particular form of human practice.
