Firstly, the application of information techniques in tourism industry both at domestic and abroad is reviewed on the base of literature research. According to the characteristics of tourism structure and the operation demands of the industry, the mechanism of information transmitting is summarized.Secondly, the new progress in the field of information and communication is analyzed and its effect to China is estimated.At the end, the paper proposes to establish a integrating website system at city level place in order to promote development of tourism, and a rational process of IT application is also put forward.
