Study on Durable Asphalt Pavement Structure with Rigid Base

Sustainable development of highway construction is seriously challenged by more and more early destructs and continual repairs. Durable Asphalt Pavement, a long-lasting or long-life pavement, satisfies the use function under some disadvantageous factors and doesn't cost a lot in repairs during the design usage phase.Through the systemic research, the influence of pavement structure durability is analyzed in different base types and primary issues existent in common semi-rigid base are discussed too. The structure stress of asphalt pavement with rigid base and the design method are also discussed. And then the systemic production is formed:Durable asphalt pavement structure with rigid base is put forward by wide investigation and theory analysis. Asphalt pavement reflective cracking caused by temperature stress in rigid base can be prevented effectively by setting stress absorbing layer, large-stone asphalt macadam mixtures and so on.Through the three-dimensional finite element analysis modeling, the text analyzes the influencing rule and outstanding function of the load stress、 the thermal stress and coupled stress to asphalt surface course's thickness、 base's thickness、 modulus and the foundation's modulus. Calculation formulas of the base stress under standard load axes action and the load stress、 the thermal stress and the coupled stress under different load axes action are obtained .By analysis of the non-load stress, the paper establishes low steel percentage continuously reinforced concrete base temperature stress simplified modeling. The influencing rule of felt rigidity factor、ratio of reinforcement、 space between cracks、 concrete linear expansion coefficient、 slab thickness、 concrete modulus and annual mean temperature drop to continuously reinforced concrete base temperature shrinkage stress are analyzed.Structure combination design based durability of asphalt pavement with rigid base is also researched in the text. Recommended thickness of asphalt surface, which is considered by both load and temperature reflective cracking, is put forward.
