Study on Prediction and Control Method for Construction of Cable-Stayed Bridges

Construction control is one essential technology that ensures successful erection of cable-stayed bridges. In this dissertation the methods of prediction and control for cable-stayed bridges during construction are presented on the viewpoint of control. The dissertation is mainly composed of three parts:1. Adjustment method of cable force for constructing cable-stayed bridges. The importance of cable force adjustment for cable-stayed bridge construction control is discussed. The concepts of a satisfactory degree of adjusted objectives and a content degree of restricted conditions are given. How to define the satisfactory degree of adjusted objectives and the content degree of restricted conditions is introduced in detail. And the satisfactory-content degree method of adjusting cable force is proposed. Then the concrete solution is studied. The feasibility and reliability of the proposed method is illustrated by an example. Therefore, the adjusted results of the girder configuration and of the internal force as well as of the cable forces are given by numerical report.2. Application of the Kalman's filtering in cable-stayed bridge construction control. The construction control method of cable-stayed bridges based on the theory of Kalman's filtering is presented in this dissertation. The difficulty for establishment of the construction control model of cable-stayed bridge while using the Kalman's filtering theory is overcome. The proposed method can predict and control the future state of erecting segment on the basis of actual changes of erected segment during construction. Consequently, in the proposed method some measures can be taken in advance. Using present method, the cable tension and the elevation of the carriage are taken as input parameters and predictive control over-one-step can be determined, therefore the 'double
