The Theoretical Research on Action Effect and Reductive Vibration of Reinforced Concrete Chimney

The reinforced concrete chimney is the adjunctive building of the industrial construction and has the important effects on the production. The wind loads the earthquake action and the thermal action are all acted in the chimney. This thesis investigates several key issues concerning the above aspects, and mainly focuses on the following things:(1) In this thesis, the chimney under the weight and the horizontal loads together would be calculated by the finite element method. The distribution curves of the stress and strain of the circle foundation are gained in the condition of different geologic soils by the nonlinear finite element method. The results about the stress and the strain of the foundation are analyzed and compared with the results by the code method. The single layer and the multilayer foundation soils are considered separately. The influences of the parameters of the foundation on the stress and the reactive forces of the foundation are analyzed. For the hollow shell foundation, the elastic and plastic analyses of the foundation are carried out. The curves of the relationship between the stress and the strain are gained from the elastic state to the elasplastic state. And the curves of the relationship between the load and the strain are gained for the key part of the foundation. At the same time, the relationship between the stress and the strain and the cracking process of the foundation are gained in the different load grade.The chimney belongs to the tipping structure, so it is necessary to consider the interaction between the soil and the structure. For above reason, so the dynamic interaction between the soil and the structure and the P - A effect are both considered at the same time. Because the damages of the chimney due to the earthquake are resulted from the horizontal and the vertical vibration together, so the couple between the horizontal and the vertical earthquake is considered in this thesis. Adopting the centralized mass mathod, the dynamic equation considering the interaction between the soil and the structure and the P - △ effect and the couple between the horizontal and the vertical earthquake is deduced. Through the discussion of the example, the results show that the vertical earthquake and the P - △ effect can make the internal forces of the structure increase. And the P-△ effect may be increased for the interaction between the foundation and the soil, which will have bad effects on the instability of the chimney.(2) The walls and the bottom of the chimney foundation are in the condition of the long-term high temperature because the soil lies outside of the foundation.
